The Georgia State Public Affairs Committee (GA SPAC) was established in 2008 as the statewide advocacy arm of the Junior Leagues of Georgia. Built on a history of community leadership, GA SPAC brings together delegates from all 12 Junior Leagues across the state to amplify our collective voice at the Capitol and in communities.
Since its founding, GA SPAC has been a premier force for nonpartisan advocacy on issues affecting women, children, and families by helping to advocate for landmark legislation and building coalitions that continue to influence policy today.
To unite the Junior Leagues of Georgia in nonpartisan advocacy that advances the health, safety, education, and equity of women, children, and families.
In 2015, the GA SPAC President’s Project created Leagues United, a statewide member training program that continues today and is recognized by AJLI as the only initiative of its kind. Each year, League Presidents convene to share knowledge, collaborate, and develop leadership skills.
GA SPAC is one of several SPACs across The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), alongside California, Florida, Ohio, New Jersey, and New York. Together, these committees share best practices and strengthen the role of women’s advocacy nationwide.
